WHAT IS DARWIN?

With the words simplicity, freedom and honesty in mind, FPP Edu-Media has created Darwin, a truly innovative online networking and partnership platform that integrates Agents, Institutions and students within the international education community. In this unique online space, all 3 parties are invited to evaluate one another openly, allowing everyone involved to easily identify who offers the best service.
Darwin, the FPP Edu-Media Partnership Network, makes it possible for Institutions to network with Agents, creating new partnerships and strenghtneing existing ones. Users can readily learn how they are doing, how they are perceived by one another and, most importantly, how their student clients feel, providing the institutions and Agents with the opportunity to make changes and prevail in the long term, or to simply disappear.
HOW DARWIN WORKS
In a student's search for the right study abroad program there are three main sources: agents, word-of-mouth, and, increasingly, the Internet, each with its own advantages and disadvantages.
Agents are knowledgeable and offer experienced personal service, but focus on a limited number of schools. Word-of-mouth gives first-hand information on the overall study experience, but about only one institution's programs. The Internet provides quick and easy access to thousands of options, but the information is often too subjective or overwhelming.
Darwin, the FPP Edu-Media Partnership Network, combines all three sources onto a single platform, offering students reliable, unlimited access to hundreds of programs around the world. Through this system, agents will reach an increasing number of students ready to begin their study abroad experience. Institutions will receive tremendous new exposure, with agents to represent them in enrollment offices throughout Latin America and Europe.
- Institution members of Darwin, the FPP Edu-Media Partnership Network, are invited to participate in the network by paying a membership fee. Their profiles are visible to students and agents in target areas they select. Institutions create partnernships and are continuously evaluated by students and agent members.
- Agent members of Darwin, the FPP Edu-Media Partnership Network, do not pay for membership. They create profiles visible to educational institutions with whom they can create partnerships, as well as students in their selected areas. Agents are screened and continuously evaluated by previous students and their partner schools.
- When a student visits an Institution profile on one of the linked FPP Edu-Media Online Study Abroad Portals and wishes to enroll or contact an enrollment center (Partnered Agents) in his/her country, he/she may search by state or even city for all an Institution's Darwin partnered agents and choose the one closest. The first contact will always be by email, and messages sent to partner agents are stored in the system, available for review at any time.
- The more Agents an Institution has, the easier it is for students to contact a representative agent. This way, a student can search from among hundreds of programs yet still have the chance to meet with someone in person to ask questions and begin the enrollment process.
BENEFITS
- Agents with bad evaluations do not survive, and Agents with repeated negative feedback are removed by the system. This decreases the possibility of networking with unreliable partners.
- Unlike other passive systems that just promote interaction between Agents and Institutions, Darwin effectively offers Agents incentives not only to partner with schools, but most importantly, to actually enroll students.
- In the management area members can continuously check statistics such as:
- How many and which Agents or Institutions have checked the profile within a certain date range.
- Number and contents of messages sent by student members looking for information on programs to each partner Agent or about each partner Institution.
- Enrollments made by partner Agents or on behalf of partner Institutions.
- Calculated Return on Investment.
- Single database. By updating the Darwin database with course info and prices, all an Institution's Darwin partner agents in Latin America and Europe will have access to school information on their sites, provided by Darwin, updated automatically.
- Totally integrated with FPP Edu-Media EXPOs system.
- Totally integrated with FPP Edu-Media mini agent workshops and the online appointment system.
MAKING THE MOST OF THE NETWORK
- Start by creating a new account by clicking here.
- Create new partnerships. Your success on the network is greatly influenced by the amount of good partnerships you create. Begin by searching for agents or institutions in the areas where you would like to focus.
- Log in to the network from time to time to access the list of agents or institutions that you are currently working with, as well as a list of pending partner invitations. A rating system was created so that you can determine which partnerships will be most suitable.
- Rate your partners. Institutions can rate their experience with associated agents and vice versa. Students can also give ratings based on their interaction with agents and their study abroad experience with institutions.
- Utilize the messaging system to contact partnered agents and institutions, spread the latest news on the bulletin board, or discuss current topics of international education in the forum section.
